Tips from the Road
1. Go slow in town. Mykonos Town streets are pedestrianised except for short access roads. Never try to drive into the Kastro district.
2. Watch for scooters. They appear from everywhere, overtake on both sides, and do not always respect traffic signals.
3. Download Google Maps offline. Signal can be patchy in the interior of the island.
4. Don't drive at night on unfamiliar roads. Many tracks have no lighting and deep edges.
5. Fuel up at Mykonos Town. There are only two or three petrol stations on the island.
